Applicant’s Experience:
• Possess extensive paving experience (1-3 years preferable).
• Have excellent communication skills, possess strong problem solving and time management capabilities.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driver abstract (class 5 or higher).
Responsibilities:
- Shovel Asphalt
-Run Skidsteer and other Equipment
-Help the other crew members when necessary
-Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures, adhere to all company policies and provincial regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
-Perform daily field level hazard assessments in compliance with company policies, knowledge and experience for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of paver preferred.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:
-Shovelling, Raking
-Running Skidsteer/other equipment
-Meet all safety requirements and policies, participate in hazard assessments job site inspections, equipment maintenance inspections and all other safety forms the company adheres to.
-Inform the Safety Manager of all Incidents, Accidents, Near-misses and Safety Infractions, participate in safety tool box talks, implement safety into all tasks related, ensure proper use of PPE working conditions.
-Being a team player on the paving crew.
Working Conditions are as follows:
Must be able to work in all weather conditions (following the safety guidelines within the company’s weather condition policies).
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods.
